This is a brand new paper published by members of my laboratory, and it is already causing controversy on its first day in print.
I consider this blog to be a reflection of the things I do and think about when I'm outside of the laboratory, so I won't be using this post to talk about why it is completely insane that any work published by my laboratory could be classified as using intelligent design. Instead, I would like to direct your attention to the comment section of this forum. Responding to claims by Mario A. Lopez, David Kellogg says astutely, "Not to be the Screech to your Slater..."
Who knew Saved By the Bell references would be so useful? David Kellogg basically called poor Mr. Lopez stupid politely by comparing him to a mullet-haired wrestler named AC Slater. Fabulous.
It's the little things that make us scientists laugh on days where we are stuck in a cold room (4 degrees Celcius) purifying more protein...
P.S. I miss diet Coke more and more each day. Sad, really.

Shaking my figurative pom-poms
It's official...I'm a cheerleader. (insert giggling/snickering here)
Well, to be more exact, I'm a science cheerleader. I am the newest blogger for this website, which is a website dedicated to getting everyone a little bit more interested and involved in science. My first post was last week. I will be writing mostly about citizen science projects in a town near you.
